This year's BAU, which first started in 1964, set numerous records in terms of the attendance and geographical diversity by attracting over 250,000 visitors from worldwide and over 2,100 exhibitors from 45 countries (Austria, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Italy. China, South Korea, Turkey, the Czech Republic and many others). The exposition which spread across 17 halls was mainly aimed at showcasing the latest intelligent and energy-saving solutions and discussing issues related to upgrading existing housing facilities and furthering the use of building information modelling (BIM) concepts and technology.
Blauberg Ventilatoren presented a host of engineering solutions tailored to meet all the current market trends and help reduce operating costs by means of efficient energy consumption management.
The new arrivals inlcuded the FRESHBOX 100 single-room heat recovery air handling unit with air capacity up to 100 m3/h and heat recovery efficiency up to 96 %. This compact unit provides continuous regulated air exchange in spaces up to 60 m2 and does not require any extra ductwork installation making it ideally suited for completed spaces and renovation projects. In addition to that the unit can be easily fitted with an extra exhaust connection – for example, to accommodate a bathroom exhaust air duct.
The visitors had a considerable interest in the CIVIC suspended units with a built-in heater which had recently been added to the company's product range. The air capacity of these units reaches 550 m3/h while maximum heat recovery efficiency is 97 %. Low noise emissions, outstanding energy efficiency and simple installation without the need for any ductwork make Blauberg CIVIC an ideal solution for ventilation systems in public spaces such as schools where structural alterations are seldom on the agenda. The operating speed of Blauberg CIVIC units is regulated automatically to maintain proper air quality in the serviced spaces. The units utilise EC fans which help keep the noise well under control (23-25 dB(A)) and achieve outstanding energy efficiency.
The single-space energy-saving family also received a new addition – the VENTO Expert A 50-1 W single-room unit which turned out to be a real show stopper. The unit has a built-in WiFi module for convenient remote control from any part of the serviced space using an Android or iOS mobile phone or tablet. The company also presented a hood developed specifically for the VENTO line which can be easily mounted inside a serviced space to facilitate their installation in high-rise buildings.
The visitors were also introduced to the VENTO Expert Duo A 30-1 unit equipped with two fans and a flow divider for simultaneous air supply and extraction.
The well-proven KOMFORT EC DB 160 and the suspended-mounted KOMFORT EC SB 350 air handling units were the subject of a keen interest of representatives from numerous construction companies. These energy-saving models combine low energy consumption and virtually silent operation without any compromises in performance. The KOMFORT EC DB 160 demonstrated at the company booth was mated to the BlauFast semi-rigid air duct system. This new solution from Blauberg can be quickly and easily installed inside suspended ceiling spaces, in floors and in walls. The light, compact and sturdy BlauFast air ducts can be combined with BlauPlast plastic air ducts thanks to universal connectors and fixtures.
As usual, the Blauberg Ventilatoren booth featured a vast collection of intelligent domestic ventilation solutions including the Smart 100, Sileo 100, Sileo Design 100, Quatro Hi-tech 100 and Bravo 100 models. All the fans of this family meet stringent noise and energy requirements, have built-in timers and humidity sensors and are covered by a 5-year warranty. Duct ventilation solutions were represented by the Ducto-U 100 model with a mounting bracket for flat surfaces. The Ducto provides a winning combination of high performance (up to 375 m3/h) and low energy consumption (from 4.5 W).
